About me

For as long as I can remember, I have been passionate about drawing and painting. Many years ago, I completely reshaped my life for the sake of painting: I left my career in marketing management behind and, in my early 30s, studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts at the Alte Spinnerei. My journey of discovery led me through various styles and different themes. Yet, I always returned to what fascinates me the most: nature and its wildlife. The foundation of this passion was laid in my early childhood.

My parents and grandparents were avid mountaineers, so we spent a lot of time in the Alps—enduring long, steep climbs to the summit and immersing ourselves in nature.

As the daughter of a Munich-born mother and an Indonesian father, I grew up in Munich with a multicultural background. My second home is a tropical country with lush vegetation, fertile land, and a rich diversity of wildlife.

Whether it's Dirndl or Sarung, Knödel or Bapao, Auerhahn or Harimau—my heart embraces elements from both cultures. Diversity has shaped me from an early age, and I approach the world with openness and humor. These are undoubtedly some of the fundamental influences that also find their way into my paintings.

My studio is located in Tiefenbach, just outside the gates of Landshut. Here, I work alongside my husband, Klaus Soppe, who is also a freelance painter. With the inspiring city of Landshut—the home of my maternal grandmother and her siblings—the beautiful Isar River, and its floodplains as my backdrop, I find everything I need for my creative work.

Hand painted

All paintings are personally executed by me, from the draft to the finished painting, 100% by hand. Over the years, I have acquired a lot of knowledge about the relationship of colors, techniques, and generally about the material I work with. I apply this in every single painting that emerges on my easel, with the aim that people who buy my paintings will enjoy their unique piece for many decades!

After many years of freelance work, I can look back on many stages, with various exhibitions and also public commissions. If you want to know more about it, you will find detailed information in my vita.
